Gemma Carfi
Gemma is a Writer and Actor based in Melbourne. A recent graduate of the Master of Screenwriting at Victorian College of the Arts, Gemma is passionate about telling stories that are female led and driven. Her graduate film, Ostrich, was officially selected to play at the Prague International Film Festival and won the best student film award at Sweden’s Luleå Film Festival. Ostrich will have its Australian premiere in the coming festival season. Her short film, Echo, was officially selected to screen in the Unscene film competition. She also has extensive writing and directing credits in the advertising and corporate space. Gemma is currently developing two genre features and a play for Melbourne Fringe Festival.
